The Finance Department provides support to leadership, management, and administration by ensuring revenues, investments, and expenditures of AOPFN are managed and properly accounted for. The Finance department supports and assists all departments in preparing financial reporting, and accounting services for departments with assistance in budgets, accounts payable, purchasing, and payroll among other financial functions.
Our growing Human Resources department supports, improves, and supplies human resource programs that align with Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation priorities, objectives, and culture.
The department leads the organization’s recruitment and selection process, distinguishing and executing the Administration Policies to promote a healthy work environment.
Some of the additional functions of the department include:
- Employee Benefits Program
- Development, promotion, and enforcement of the Administration Policy
- Workplace injuries or accidents, personnel matters
- Providing opportunities for training and development

Employment Opportunities
IT Support staff provides a variety of network and computer support to the organization. Activities include but are not limited to day-to-day technical support on and off-site, purchasing and configuring equipment, network maintenance and security, program and software analysis, installation, and updates, as needed.
IT Support Staff assist each department to ensure all new hires are set up and prepared for the first day in their role. IT Support Staff share basic knowledge and skills to improve technology usage and understanding throughout the organization.
