Planned Hydro Outage Scheduled in Pikwàkanagàn for Friday

The Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation (AOPFN) is advising community members of a planned power outage scheduled by Hydro One for Friday, October 23rd, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The outage is required to support the energization of the Three-Phase Expansion Project.

Areas Not Affected by the Outage

Please note that the following locations will not be affected by the scheduled power outage:

• Mishòmis Inamo

• Industrial Centre

• Water Treatment Plant

• Retail Centre

Hydro One has advised that residents who will be affected by the outage should have been contacted directly.

Community members are encouraged to plan accordingly and make any necessary preparations ahead of the scheduled interruption to service.
