Pikwàkanagàn to Host 37th Annual Traditional Pow Wow on August 15–16, 2026

The Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation Traditional Pow Wow Committee is pleased to invite community members, neighbouring First Nations, and visitors from across the region to attend the 37th Annual Pikwàkanagàn Traditional Pow Wow, taking place Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Pikwàkanagàn Cultural Grounds (109 Pakwanagemag Inamo, Pikwàkanagàn, Ontario).

This year's Pow Wow theme, "Honour Our Elders," recognizes the invaluable role Elders play as the keepers of our language, culture, traditions, and teachings. Throughout the weekend, participants will gather to celebrate Indigenous culture through song, dance, drumming, and fellowship while paying tribute to those who have guided generations before us.

Grand Entry Times

The Grand Entry marks the official opening of each dance session and is one of the most meaningful moments of the Pow Wow.

• Saturday, August 15: 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
• Sunday, August 16: 12:00 p.m.

Everyone is Welcome

The Pikwàkanagàn Traditional Pow Wow welcomes everyone to experience the rich traditions and vibrant culture of the Algonquin people. Admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted to help support this important annual event.
