Health Services supports the wellness of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation by delivering a wide range of health and wellness services for individuals and families. Rooted in Algonquin culture and traditions, our programs focus on prevention, care, and healing while meeting recognized health standards. We are committed to managing resources responsibly, fostering holistic well-being, and ensuring our community has access to safe, reliable, and culturally grounded care. 

Health Services Programs Overview

Community Health Program supports the well-being of Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation through prevention, education, and family-centered care. Our team provides services that promote health lifestyles, prevent illness, and support individuals and families across all stages of life. From prenatal education and immunizations to chronic disease prevention and community health promotion, we work together to strengthen health outcomes while respecting Algonquin culture and values. 

Family Health Team provides accessible, community-based primary care services for Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation. Our team works to meet the day-to-day health needs of members through direct medical care, preventive supports, and coordination with specialists to ensure continuity of care.

Mental Health & Addiction Services team provides compassionate, community-based supports for children, youth, adults, and families of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation. Guided by Algonquin traditions and values, our programs follow a wholistic approach that recognizes the connection between mind, body, spirit, and community. 
Through a blend of cultural teachings and modern therapies, we work to reduce stigma, promote healing, and empower members to strengthen their wellness and resilience. 

Tennisco Manor is an aging-at-home and assisted living facility that supports seniors and community members with complex care needs. Our team provides health, personal care, transportation, and wellness services to help clients live safely, comfortably, and with dignity – whether in their own homes or in one of our assisted living units.
