Finance
The Finance Departments is responsible for managing the financial operations of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan, ensuring the responsible use of community funds and support the delivery of their programs and services.
To monitor financial performance and ensure expenditure aligns with approved budgets and reporting requirements.
Responsible for ensuring all payables and receivables are carried out as per our protocols and procedures established in our internal financial controls.
Responsible for carrying out all purchases and billing for all departments in accordance with our established internal financial controls to protect the assets of the Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation.
Oversees all payroll responsibilities of current employees and maintains all financial reporting to the Canada Revenue Agency, Pension and Benefits agencies in a timely manner.
To deliver the provincial Ontario Works program to AOPFN members residing in Pikwakanagan for financial assistance and employment assistance.
Basic financial assistance includes income assistance provided for the purpose of basic needs, shelter, discretionary benefits and emergency assistance.
Employment assistance includes support and services aimed at increasing the participants’ employability or quality of life.
To access services, we are located at the Administration Office at the address below and you can call us at (613) 625-2800 and ask for any one of our staff using the extension numbers listed below. We are happy to help, and most times appointments are not required.
