Neyagada Wabandangaki Program Launch Video
The Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation (AOPFN) Neyagada Wabandangaki Guardians have an
important role to assert Rights and Title and to monitor and protect the terrestrial and cultural resources
within the AOPFN Traditional Territory.
Specifically, the AOPFN Neyagada Guardians maintain a presence throughout the territory;
monitor the impacts of resource use; report to our Indigenous policies, as well as Provincial and Federal
regulations; accurately collect monitoring data; and report their activities to the AOPFN Consultation
Department.
As Neyagada Wabandangaki Guardians, our mission is to steward the land and water by observing, recording and reporting on environmental impacts across our Traditional Territory.
