The Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation delivers a wide range of programs and services designed to support the well-being, growth, and prosperity of our community. Each department works in partnership with members, leadership, and external agencies to ensure that our people have access to high-quality supports rooted in culture, accountability, and community values.
Our Health Services team provides community-centered care that promotes physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Through primary care, nursing services, mental health supports, addictions programming, and health promotion initiatives, we work to ensure that members have access to compassionate and culturally informed care.
Our Education and Training Services support learners of all ages. From early childhood education and academic counseling to post-secondary assistance and skills training, we are committed to creating opportunities for lifelong learning and employment growth.
Social and Family Services provide assistance to individuals and families through prevention programming, family support, child and youth initiatives, elders’ services, and income assistance. Our focus is on empowering families, strengthening community connections, and promoting safety and stability.
Through Economic Development, we encourage sustainable growth by supporting entrepreneurship, business development, land-based opportunities, and training initiatives that build long-term economic strength for current and future generations.
Our Cultural and Community Programs celebrate our identity as Algonquin people, offering workshops, language revitalization activities, traditional knowledge programs, and community events that strengthen our connection to the land, our ancestors, and one another.
Housing and Infrastructure Services work to maintain and improve community facilities, housing supports, capital projects, and essential services that contribute to a safe and thriving community environment.
