• Algonquin Identity and Cultural Heritage:

Ours is a First Nation where the People honour and foster pride in our Algonquin identity and culture.

Our people assume full responsibility for the celebration, knowledge, preservation and transmission of our culture, its spirituality, beliefs, languages, values, traditions and teachings.

Living in harmony with our cultural values enables our People to live in a healthy, natural environment, and to participate productively in modern society.

• Algonquin Land, Rights, and Jurisdiction:

Ours is a First Nation where the People enjoy full security, jurisdiction and governance over our Algonquin Lands and Inherent Rights.

The Algonquin People know and cherish our Rights; we protect our Rights by exercising them in our daily lives.

Our Algonquin People fulfill roles and responsibilities to always and fully protect our rights and not place our rights at risk or diminishment.

Our Algonquin people support our Governing process with pride and respect.

• Algonquin Government:

Our Government is capable, editable, consistent, and fully accountable to our Algonquin People. 

Our Government will protect our Algonquins rights from erosion, diminishment and dilution through the creation of appropriate laws, policies and regulations.

Our Government represents us with pride and respect in all dealings with other governments and agencies.

• A Strong, Healthy, Happy and Secure Algonquin Family and First Nation:

The healthy, happy, sharing Algonquin family remains the essential unit in our Algonquin culture and community. It is the family that assumes primary responsibility for fostering the Algonquin culture, and for ensuring that our culture is passed on to future generations.
