Pikwàkanagàn
covers a small region but has much to offer guests and tourists. The community
is slowly growing and offers guests of the Pow Wow, winter carnival and
ice fishing derby, choice food, camping and entertainment.
 The
Kokomish Cafe at is at the main crossroads of the community and sits on
the waters edge greeting guests as they arrive. the Kokomish Cafe is a
fully staffed full service restaurant offering both sit in and take out
meals. The decor is classic and comfortable with ample seating. Their
homemade meals will delight and fill their guests. The cafe offers full
meals and buffet meals.
The restaurant
offers both smoking and non-smoking tables, and has a fully screened in
sunporch for dining during the warmer temperatures. The sunroom offers
dinners a beautiful view of the river by the bridge. Renovations are currently
underway for the construction of a new outdoor patio. Gas is available
at the gas bar for the public and all status Indians. Snacks, candy and
drinks are also available at the front counter. The Kokomish Cafe is located

The
Algonquin Smoke Shop is a smoke and convenience store. It is located up
the road from the restaurant on Kokomish Inamo. The new shop offers national
and Native brand cigarettes and tobacco as well as convenience items such
as chips, snacks, candy and pop. The
Algonquin Smoke Shop is located on the main road into the community and
is situated next to Two-Axe Creations gift shop. Contact 613-625-1480.
Two-Axe
Creations Gift Shop offers guests, community members and tourists a wide
array of Native Arts and Crafts. The lovely shop is full of wonderful
and one of a kind crafts, clothing, jewelry and works of art. Come in
and browse Two-Axe Creations and you will find something to please the
most discerning tastes.
Gifts, crafts
and clothing may also be purchased at the newly renovated Manido
Chiman Algonquin Heritage Centre
and Museum which is located beside the Kokomish Cafe at 1674 Mishomis
Inamo, 613-625-2823.
Further
down the road at 1225 Mishomis Inamo, guests will find Ravenwood Stables.
Ravenwood Stables offers horse riding lessons. The stable offers private
in depth lessons, dependable mounts, flexible hours, field trips and guest
instructor and special clinics. Riding is fun and great exercise and promotes
self esteem and teamwork. Try the introductory lesson. The first two lessons
are $20. For the public Ravenwood offers pony rides and horse riding in
the ring. Ravenwood Stables will also do parties. Plans have slowly begun

During the summer
season camping is available at the Sunset Trailer Park for a daily fee,

New business are
quickly growing quickly in the community to offer guests a wide assortment
of food, shopping and entertainment, Pikwàkanagàn style.
